Accessories Galore

Beautiful makeup from the magazine Teen Vogue.
The right make-up and accessories adds the finishing touches to a girl’s outfit. Make-up and accessories can make or break an outfit so here are a few tips to keep in mind. All things glittery and glam such as sparkling lids, lush lashes, and a bold pout work with any bold outfit. To land glitzy lids, use a palette of sparkly eye shadow and keep the rest of your fake low-key. Diamond-dusted lip-gloss is way fun for a night out and works best with bare eyes and a hint of bronzer. An icy blue hue makes your eyes pop. To get this look, rim your lids with blue eye shadow, smudge with a Q-tip, and swipe on mascara. Rock the crimson lipstick with winged eyeliner and you’re set. Dab a little bit of sparkly gel onto your temples for a glam vibe and pink lip-gloss keeps it angelic, not overwhelming. If you’re going out to winter formal or a hot party, throw on feathered false lashes and apply with lash glue and you’ll dazzle all night. To get super glamorous nails, layer a gold glitter topcoat over a perfect purple for nails that dazzle. If you have fair skin, your complexion looks best in pinky golds and bronzer with blue undertones. With medium skin, coppery hues are perfect on girls with golden skin. Dark greens and smoky blues look best with a bold, night out look. Brown and gold are stunning on darker skin tones. To look amazing for school, a hint of slightly shimmery shadow can make up tired eyes. Apply a metallic champagne shadow to your lids and rock neutral lip-gloss. Always keep your lips looking glam with either simple chap stick or cute lip-gloss. A small, simple headband can look cute with any outfit but a bold headband rocks the right outfit. Also, big rings and earrings work with almost any outfit. Huge, busy necklaces should only be worn with a simpler outfit to balance everything out. The color of your jewelry shouldn’t exactly match your clothing but they should be compatible tones. Follow these tips and you will be looking glam and stylish in any situation.

Winter Style Crisis

During the winter, fashion is a huge deal. Girls want to look fashionable but also be warm and comfortable at the same time. Scarves are a key fashion item that completes the right outfit. Patterned scarves or even plain colored scarves flatter your outfit. Now, the type of scarf makes a huge difference. Cotton scarves work better with a flowy shirt or v-neck. On the other hand, wool and woven scarves should only be used to keep warm out in the weather. Do not make that mistake! I have at least ten scarves that are solid colors and also patterned. I’ll wear them with a stylish shirt or even over a jacket when I’m outside. They definitely add a little spark to your attire. Uggs are also a trendy way to keep your feet warm in the frosty weather. These are fur boots that come in various styles, shapes, and colors. Wear both of these with a pair of your killer skinny jeans and you are set. Also, another fashion statement that is stylish but also keeps your warm in the winter is the obvious, a coat. The right coat can be the centerpiece of an outfit, especially if you are just wearing a simple shirt and uggs. There are various styles of coats for example, there are pea coats, puffer coats, leather jackets, military jackets, and jean jackets. Color is a major factor in flaunting the right coat. A green or blue jacket works better with lighter skin while on the other hand, a purple or red jackets works better with darker skin.  If you tan in the winter, a white coat is a definite plus. White fabric makes tanner skin really stand out and shine. Buttons, zippers, and pockets all add flavor to a coat. Although the buttons and pockets make not be usable, they will make the coat pop. If you were looking to add color to your face in the winter without using a tanning booth, applying bronzer to your face and neck would be a excellent choice. The right color bronzer to match your skin tone gives your skin color until summer comes back around. Whether it’s a scarf, a cute pair of ugg boots, a fabulous red pea coat, or a little dusting of bronzer, your winter style will be super chic and grab the eye of a cute guy!

Flatter Your Fabulous Figure

As I was talking down the streets of New York City, I observed all of the people who passed by. Having a keen eye for fashion, I noticed one woman's jeans in particular. She had a curvy figure and wore cuffed skinnies that definitely did not flatter her. Her jeans only made her look stumpy and short. I then realized that woman need help finding the right jeans for their body type. Finding the perfect fitting pair of jeans is always a struggle. The right pair of jeans all has to do with your body type. For a girl who has curves, a simple straight-leg definitely enhances your figure. Jordan Sparks, a singer that originated from American Idol, has curves and rocked a pair of straight-leg jeans in Cosmo. Also, cuffing your jeans makes you look shorter and stumpy which is a major negative. If a girl has wide hips, boot cut is their winner. Wearing tighter jeans makes your bottom half appear heavier. When a girl is top-heavy, a wider leg balances your upper half while skinny jeans are simply unflattering. Tight, light colored skinnies create curves on a boyish body type while loose jeans hide your body. And finally, flares flatter any body shape and go with almost anything. I wear boot cut jeans, flares, and can also rock a pair of skinnies any day of the week. The color of jeans also has a major role that’s linked with your body type. A washed out, light pair of denim works fabulous on petite girls. Lighter jeans aren’t afraid to show off your body and are for confident-filled ladies. A blue, darker pair of jeans will definitely flatter curvy body types and look hot with any outfit. Whether you’re top-heavy, petite, curvy, or have wide hips, black skinny jeans make any body type look slimmer and are super chic and girly with the right attire. Tastefully, ripped jeans add pop to your outfit but don’t always work with every body type. A bigger rip looks a lot more flattering on a slimmer body while smaller rips work for any body type. Also, the designs and buttons on jeans add spice. Sparkles or jewels on back pockets look fabulous on a smaller backside. When all of these tips are followed, they add up to your perfect pair of fabulous jeans to rock your body type.
